Lagging at times, this movie stays relatively true to the book. The productions and editing did VERY well, and the acting was good.

One of the biggest problems I had was how they played some of the subplots. The teacher's butler working with the Opus Dei in his stead. The detective's own Opus Dei connections.

These parts were vital to the book, and yet were greatly overlooked in the movie.
